This is a great blouse pattern, it’s very reminiscent of an Equipment brand shirt. This pattern has several nice variations and comes with pattern pieces for A,B,C & D bust cups in the regular size range, and up to a triple-D in the plus size range. I made a 16, with a C cup and lengthened the sleeves 2″. It was plenty long enough in the body – it may be too long for some!

This is view B, with rounded patch pockets, a collar, collar stand, button cuffs and front placket. The only difference between this (stylewise) and an Equipment shirt is the Equipment shirts have a back yoke with a pleat. This also does not have a mens shirt-style cuff placket; but there are excellent instructions on how to construct one in the latest Vogue Patterns magazine.

The fabric is a gorgeous, soft cotton/silk voile that they had for the past couple of years in Fabricland. I love the print, especially this year it’s so fashion forward with the bright, intense colours and watercolour print. The blue buttons were from MacFAB, Toronto and are a perfect match for the cobalt blue in the print.

This shirt would not look so lovely without the Pro Sheer interfacing from Fashion Sewing Supply.  It’s just gorgeous.  Fuses perfectly, pre shrunk, didn’t change the hand of this lovely fabric and no show through at all!  I used regular tricot interfacing on this fabric in another top and it bubbled and is stiff, really different results!

As a happy customer, you should take a look at Pam’s website. I used the Pro-weft medium extra-wide on the Iris Shorts in a previous post!

Laters, baby
